{"id":4141,"date":"2017-09-06T16:58:53","date_gmt":"2017-09-06T16:58:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/adroystermilitaria.com\/?p=4141"},"modified":"2017-09-06T16:58:53","modified_gmt":"2017-09-06T16:58:53","slug":"newsletter-266-september-6-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adroystermilitaria.com\/en\/newsletter-266-september-6-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsletter 266 September 6, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From: balclava@gmail.com<br \/>\nTo: <a href=\"mailto:adroyster@hotmail.com\">adroyster@hotmail.com<\/a><br \/>\nSubject: xxxxxxxxx Auctions<br \/>\nDate: Tue, 5 September 2017 09:16:26 \u20130600<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dear Mr. Royster:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In your most excellent columns, I have been following, with admitted sinking feelings, comments about so-called \u201cpaper whiteners\u201d and the rather distressing news that they were not used in paper until 1951.<\/p>\n<p>In another posting, I note several articles about the xxxxxxxxx Auctions that are certainly of a somewhat negative nature.<\/p>\n<p>My unhappiness lies in the fact that I have been purchasing allegedly original German militaria-subject documents from this firm for at least seven years and when I read your comments on the paper whiteners, I at once obtained an ultra-violet light from a stamp store and tested all of my documents and letters.<\/p>\n<p>Regretfully, about 95% of these did, in fact, react to the light, glowing brightly.
